Why Dene Valley u3a?

Dene Valley u3a was formed in 2009 and most of its near 500 members live in, or close to Wellesbourne. The river Dene runs through Wellesbourne and also passes local villages such as Kineton Walton and Charlotte

So Dene Valley u3a was a name chosen to reflect the wider catchment area of our total membership .River Dene a tributary that flows west from the Burton Dassett Hills, through Kineton, Walton, and Wellesbourne, before joining the River Avon at Charlecote Park.

How does a u3a operate?

Dene Valley is one of approx 1000 u3a’s in the UK, all are self governing charities.. Throughout the UK, u3a’s that are close geographically will be often work together. They then become a “Cluster”, This is simply a group of u3a’s that collectively can offer more activities than if they work separately. Members can therefore belong to more than one u3a

How many Groups can I join, how much is membership?

There is no limit on groups, other than enough hours in the day! No matter how many  activity groups, just one very modest fee annual fee will cover all groups joined. Click on Join us to see membership cost for current year.

Where do u3a groups meet?
