We are a small, informal group which started in 2013 by working our way through British History from the Anglo-Saxons to the 20^th century. Having done that, about two years ago we decided to go back to some of the earliest civilisations and have learnt about the Sumerians, Babylonians, Assyrians, the Persian Empire, Ancient Greece and now Ancient Rome.

Most of us take turns to research a topic and give a short talk but no one need feel that they have to do so. We choose topics that interest us rather than feeling we have to cover a “syllabus”.

We are not accepting new members at the moment, but if you are interested please get in touch and we can put you on a waiting list.
