We are a small, informal group which started in 2013 by working our way through British History from the Anglo-Saxons to the 20^th century. Having done that, about 18 months ago we decided to go back to some of the earliest civilisations and have learnt about the Sumerians, Babylonians, Assyrians, the Persian Empire, and now Ancient Greece. We will soon be deciding what we want to cover next.

Most of us take turns to research a topic and give a short talk but no one need feel that they have to do so. We chose topics that interest us rather than feeling we have to cover a “syllabus”.
