The French Conversation Group are smiling because they meet twice a month on Tuesdays! and it's Tuesday today!

We are a small friendly group of francophones who meet fortnightly in a member's house to share anything French. We all have a fairly good knowledge of the language with varying levels of fluency. 

Each meeting one of our members gives a presentation in French of something of interest to them or that happened to them. 

We also like to study a French novel and we have just finished George Simenon's detective novel featuring Maigret. We keep abreast of topical affairs in France through an online website devoted to this.

On a lighter note, we like to have fun with the language playing such things as memory games, role plays and quizzes or crossword puzzles. I try to encourage French as the predominant language spoken during the meeting but not always with success!
